Anyone local need a PA? I have an Acoustic 850 PA sitting in my garage with no one using it. It has 600w of 70s power. I just tested all 8 channels with a SM57 and discovered channel 5 seems dead. Also two enormous 6 speaker towers to go with it. I believe a couple of the speakers may be blown though this is just my deduction from a fairly gritty tone i noticed at high volume. Last time i used this rig was for Pleased practice back in 2003 – then Jay joined the band and so we used his shiny new PA. There’s one of these cached on Ebay here. today i decided to start listening to my entire record collection from begining to end. that is a-z. this made me realize that A) i don’t have nearly enough A records and B) i can’t listen to more that two ACDC albums in a row. Call me a great jesse but thats honesty. So far i’ve hit something like this: Air, AC/DC, the Animals, The Association, Atlantic Soul Classics, Chet Atkins, Ali Akbar Khan (that should be in K!), Agent Orange, the B52s and the Band. wild.

We have some shows coming up. it’d be nice to see you.

in the last few weeks: Camped in the desert Wonder Valley. Learned about snakes, met lizards. Was taxed. Played with guns. Saw Luckey and Noah with the DevBand at Coachella. Ran into a Lennon and a Gallo. TV on the Radio also blew us away once again. Came across a beautiful Wurlitzer (oh that was already here – who cares?). Met Jo’s new place. Stood upon mountains. Last episodes of west wing. New song ideas whispered into tape recorder. Played along with Bert. Made a mess of my computer. The sun warmed us all. Got the motorcycle out from hiding. Colbert. Sold our first recordings. Made some websites. Jo and Smog played the National Hotel. Finally got back to playing. Nothing really.
