9. San Francisco, CA
It’s always been like coming home arriving in San Francisco but now it really is. Just yesterday things lined up to make this my home city. So what better way to celebrate than with a beautiful Indian summer’s day here and a hot sweaty show at Bimbos.
Tour note: They need to pull the carpet off the stage here…

Hey Mr Good, really dig your photo essays. I’m slightly amused by all the “floor” shots — I wonder if it’s so you can keep track of where your standing at any given time when you’re world is upended everyday? As Sting once sang “the world’s an oyster, my hotel room a prison cell”. My wife Lisa and I enjoyed bumping into you while you were grabbing a smoke outside Bimbo’s after the rousing show you guys played. Hope you enjoy living in SF; there’s significantly more going on there than in gold country (where I, coincidentally, spent the following weekend in GV). Do pick a somewhat safe spot to live, though; avoid the Tenderloin per my wife’s suggestion. And the so-called, ahem, “Tenderknob”. And the wrong side of the Mission. And 6th Street. And, uh, shoot — you’ll figure it out. 😉 Good luck and see you around.
Thanks guys. Landed in a very nice spot with both friendly people and PARKING. Can’t ask for more in this city!
