Evan keeps sneaking my Telecaster for his shows, cheeky devil. I guess i just have to steal his SG then… These guys are leaving our tour after tomorrow’s gig in Orlando; i’m going to be sad to see ’em go – it’s been a hoot hanging out with Todd, Farley and this dude.
Saw my old pal Ade and his lady tonight. He’s one of the few people to go straight up to John from The Chevin and exclaim Otley!
Bitchy tour note: Miami was a great show but people, my god, i’ve never seen so many cell phones and cameras in the front row. And all the way back. I’m a obsessive photographer so by all means snap a few shots in the show, but it seemed like everyone was texting and videoing the ENTIRE show. Hope some you were actually there with us, not just on youtube.
im guilty. i dont put my vids on YT, its a hassle to do, but what if i did?
they are a hobby. i re live the gig. bitchy note when we stop finding you interesting.
you’re gonna miss me when i’m gone….
Haha! Indeed i will miss you! i suppose what i’m trying to get at is that i would like people to genuinely experience the show while it’s happening. I find my mind is not really connected to what’s happening when i am viewing it through the back of a camera screen… But each to their own i guess. Perhaps its more MY problem: being honest, and selfishly, from my perspective it feels redundant pouring your heart and soul into playing music when you notice the audience appears to have their mind on a glowing gadget more than the reality that is occurring. The connection between audience and performer is lost. I think that energy is important to create the best couple of hours of reality for everyone.
