Fairest of the Fair

We played a three song set at the Nevada County Fair the other day. In amongst backing Lee Watson and inhaling vege pasties we rolled out Confessed Again, Cracks and National Divide to a crowd confined to haybales and expensive plastic beer. Ryan Donnelly has been our bass master since the southern flee of Jonathan – he’s a total ripper thank god. It was broadcast on KVMR but god only knows. The golf carts shuffled us to my favourite after party of the year. A starry night.

In other news recently there were some fine shows in town here. Coopers with Casual Fog and some dinosaur rockers Howlin’ Rain was fun but nasty. Strangely the best was reserved for the Miners Foundry KVMR 30th anniversary show – usually not my favourite venue. Seems like peoples are liking the new songs. We’ll be recording said songs into an album promptly. End of the year…
