January occupations
I’ve been playing solitaire lately. Real cards and computer cards. It’s january that can do that to you. You really need those queens and kings. Alright, enough.
The solitaire theme continued in the music recorded department today – a lonely day at the Manor. (Dana get back here! what do you mean? – I have to hook up the mics?) I finally hooked up the MBox today and recorded some guitar stuff into ‘the Tools’. Today was a break for Heads or Tails that required some lazy heavy feedback, I miss those Marshalls but let’s face it; a Big Muff is all you need. Also in the news today; my dad (that’s Bob to you) did the musical notation for a potential Cello part on ‘confessed again’. I say potential becuse there is a chance we will not get this recorded before the mixing date. I am looking for a lady called Emily to do this part but Dana and I have discussed plan B options such a mellotron. I could get behind that but the real cello is what we’re looking for. Eno just told me to do something boring.

I’m excited about this music today; we are recording more final touches all weekend including Mark Potampa on a flute part and Pete coming back to redo Fire Escape drums (due to Dana and I being off form due to some late night revelry before the original recording). Andi is going to lay down some more Vox organ and i have a few bits of guitar to attend to. Last night i dreamt i had a thick beard like Jason’s. The sun came out at last…
