Day01: Pete and heat.

So it seems that the bull is being taken by the proverbials and these sketch tunes are being sent on their way to another level that involves real players doing wonderful things. i am spoilt by the generosity of people around me.

Day 01 sees at at BrightonSound studio in Sacramento with the Dana producing and engineering and Pete pulling nice noises from an old Slingerland drumset. I can’t imagine a nicer way to spend a day than lounging about chewing smartfood, listening to sweet hits and sticking your oar in once in a while. these musical accomplices are very cool.

today we covered 4 songs: fire escape, colder (featuring no less than a slow down part!), a heart’s ease and slow motion (of which i just added the demo version here). those names won’t mean much right now and may well change – i really prefer naming things once they are done… which also applies to the name of this project. it will not be TIE but for now we have to use something right? anyway, the drum hits sound sweet and its nice to begin the journey of tying a whole bunch of ragged demos together in one well-illuminated box. or something.
