Fixing the holes

08. January 2006 Recording 0

We’re in to the final parts now. Those little holes that you put off til later. It is later now and we have a week and half before mixing and only this afternoon and wednesday in Brighton with Dana and his fine machines where things sound wonderful always. So today’s adventure was to get Pete back in the studio to retake ‘Fire Escape’ and to add some extra charm to the ‘All in Favour’ middle fuzzy psychedelic organ section. Pete had already done a splendid job on Fire Escape but we had messed up in the recording of it so it really didn’t sound right on tape. Today in a couple of hours we got everything straightened out. Pete has an amazing ability to get what you’re looking for very fast – and just off the back of the Rumour Mill show he was fully Mick-Fleetwood-ed up. Thanks sir; here’s a picture of your face.
