Mystical mark and the silver wand.

Just had multi-instrumentalist / cowboy / designer and all around facsinating chap Mark Potampa in for some flute at the Manor. This evening confirmed that being the engineer is often a wonderful job. I could sit and listen to gentle tones like this all day long. Forever perhaps. Mark walked in, we selected his nice old King (!) flute and off we went. After listening to the part a couple of times yesterday he already had it down. We did some variations, some random stuff and then sat around talking about playing on movie soundtracks, horses, jazz vices, playing sax in Zion canyon and other good stuff. I am truly indebted to these peoples for making this music sound how it does. Here’s Mark with his saxophone that was not actually played tonight. How cool it is though – maybe it’s time for a Roxy breakdown in one of these tunes…

Mark the mantra

And just to make things sweeter; Emily is also on for the cello on wednesday morning. If only there weren’t bird flu, bush and general disarray worldwide to ruin it all.
